## Biography

Linda Marsh is an American actress of film, stage and television. Born Linda Cracovaner on 8 February 1939 in New York City, she attended Bennington College and began her career in short-lived off-Broadway productions before adopting the stage name Marsh.

She gained early recognition for her role as Thomna Sinnikoglou in Elia Kazan's *America America* (1963), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. In 1964 she played Ophelia in John Gielgud's Broadway production of *Hamlet*, which was filmed on stage.

Marsh appeared in guest roles on numerous television series including *Bonanza*, *Perry Mason*, *Gunsmoke*, *Hawaii Five-O* and *The Streets of San Francisco*. Her later film credits include *Che!* (1969), *Homebodies* (1974) and *Freebie and the Bean* (1974). She also had a supporting part in the miniseries *The Dark Secret of Harvest Home* (1978) and subsequently worked as a television writer and producer.
