Lisa Ann Walter is an American actress, comedian and television producer. She was born on 3 August 1963 in Silver Spring, Maryland, and holds a BFA from the Catholic University of America. She began in stand-up comedy before creating and starring in the ABC sitcom *Life's Work* (1996–1997).

Walter is known for her role as Chessy in *The Parent Trap* (1998) and as Debbie in *Bruce Almighty* (2003). Since 2021 she has played Melissa Schemmenti in the ABC series *Abbott Elementary*, for which she shared a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
