Lisa Banes was an American actress. She was born on 9 July 1955 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and trained at the Juilliard School.

Banes appeared in more than eighty film and television roles. Her screen credits include Bonnie in *Cocktail* (1988), Marybeth Elliott in *Gone Girl* (2014) and Hollis in *A Cure for Wellness* (2016). She also had recurring or guest roles in series including *Six Feet Under*, *Desperate Housewives*, *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*, *NCIS*, *Once Upon a Time* and *The Orville*. On stage she performed on Broadway and received a Theatre World Award for *Look Back in Anger* (1981) and a Drama Desk Award nomination for *Isn't It Romantic* (1984).

Banes died on 14 June 2021 in New York City, aged 65, from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run scooter accident ten days earlier.
