## Biography

Lisa Blount was an American actress and film producer. She appeared in numerous films and television series, most notably as Lynette Pomeroy in *An Officer and a Gentleman* (1982).

Blount began her screen career in the late 1970s with a role in *September 30, 1955* (1977). She received a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year – Actress for her performance in *An Officer and a Gentleman*. Later credits include *Prince of Darkness* (1987), *Blind Fury* (1989), *Great Balls of Fire!* (1989) and *Needful Things* (1993), as well as guest roles in series such as *Moonlighting*, *Murder, She Wrote* and *Judging Amy*.

With her husband, actor and filmmaker Ray McKinnon, Blount produced the short film *The Accountant* (2001), which won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.
