## Biography

Lisa Brühlmann is a Swiss actor, director and screenwriter. Born in 1981 in Zürich, she trained as an actor at the Schauspielschule Charlottenburg in Berlin from 2005 to 2008 before studying film directing and screenwriting at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK), completing a BA in 2013 and an MA in 2016.

She began her career acting in German and Swiss film and television productions. Her debut feature *Blue My Mind* (2017), which she wrote and directed, won the Swiss Film Award for Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay. Brühlmann has directed episodes of series including *Killing Eve* (2019), for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination, *Castle Rock*, *Servant* and *The Girl Before*. She also directed and starred in the feature *When We Were Sisters* (2024).
