Lisa Fischer is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Born on 1 December 1958 in Brooklyn, New York, she achieved success with her 1991 debut album *So Intense*, which included the Grammy Award-winning single "How Can I Ease the Pain".

She has worked extensively as a backing vocalist for artists including Sting, Luther Vandross and Tina Turner, and toured with the Rolling Stones from 1989 to 2015. Fischer appeared as herself in the 2013 documentary *20 Feet from Stardom*, which won a Grammy for Best Music Film.
