Liz Heldens, also credited as Elizabeth Heldens, is an American television writer and producer. She began her career writing for series including *Boston Public* and *Friday Night Lights* (2006–2009), for which she received multiple Writers Guild of America Award nominations for drama series.

Heldens has created several series, among them *Mercy*, *Deception* (2013) and *The Passage* (2019). She served as writer and executive producer on the Hulu miniseries *The Dropout* (2022), which earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for outstanding limited or anthology series. She is co-showrunner and executive producer on the ABC drama *Will Trent* (2023–), and has also worked on *The Orville* and *The Big Leap*.
