## Biography

Liz Tigelaar is an American television writer and producer. She was born on 4 October 1975 in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in scriptwriting and politics.

Tigelaar began her career as an assistant on *Dawson's Creek* in 2000 and went on to write for series including *American Dreams*, *Brothers & Sisters*, *Once and Again* and *Melrose Place*. She served as writer and co-executive producer on the first season of *Once Upon a Time* (2011). She created and executive produced the CW series *Life Unexpected* (2010).

Her other credits include writing for *Revenge* (2011), *Bates Motel* (2013), *Nashville* (2012), *Casual* (2015) and *Little Fires Everywhere* (2020). She has also worked as a producer on *Tiny Beautiful Things* (2023).
