## Biography

Lloyd Rose is an American writer. She contributed the story for the season seven episode *Zen and the Art of Murder* of the television series *Homicide: Life on the Street*.

Rose was the theatre critic for *The Washington Post*. In 1987 she adapted Harvey Pekar's autobiographical comics into the stage play *American Splendor*, produced at Arena Stage in Washington, DC.

She is known for her Doctor Who spin-off novels *The City of the Dead* (2001), *Camera Obscura* (2002; winner of the Doctor Who Magazine Award) and *The Algebra of Ice* (2004). Rose also wrote the Big Finish audio drama *Caerdroia* (2004) and contributed to the 2003 mini-series *Kingpin*. In 2015 she adapted *Alice in Wonderland* for the stage.
