## Biography

Lola Lane (born Dorothy Mullican) was an American actress. She appeared on Broadway and in films from the late 1920s to the mid-1940s, often under the name Lola Lane or credited as Dorothy Mullican or Dorothy (Lola) Lane.

She made her film debut in *Speakeasy* (1929) after stage work including *The War Song* (1928). Lane is known for her role as Dorothy 'Gabby' Marvin in *Marked Woman* (1937) and as Thea Lemp in *Four Daughters* (1938), alongside her sisters Rosemary Lane and Priscilla Lane in the latter and its sequels *Four Wives* (1939) and *Four Mothers* (1941). She retired from acting in 1946.
