Lou Dobbs (24 September 1945 – 18 July 2024) was an American television commentator, anchor and producer. Born in Childress County, Texas, he joined CNN at its launch in 1980, serving as a reporter and later vice president before hosting *Lou Dobbs Tonight* on Fox Business Network.

His screen credits include an appearance as himself (archive footage) in the documentary *Koyaanisqatsi* (1983). He also appeared in *State of Play* (2009) as a CNN reporter and in an episode of *The Good Wife* (2009).
