## Biography

Lou Hancock (1924–1995) was an American actress. She played Henrietta in the horror film *Evil Dead II* (1987).

Her other film roles include Lucy Peters in *Miracle Mile* (1989), a nurse in *The Grifters* (1990) and *The Fisher King* (1991), and Peggy in the television film *Amityville: The Evil Escapes* (1989). On television she appeared as Mabel Shoop in *Walker, Texas Ranger* (1993–1995) and in episodes of *Melrose Place* and *Night Court*.

Earlier in her career she founded the Hip Pocket Theater in Fort Worth, Texas, and later earned a master's degree in theatre from Texas Christian University, where she taught method acting.
