## Biography

Lou Marini is an American saxophonist, arranger and composer. He is known professionally as 'Blue Lou' Marini and has worked as a session musician and band member across jazz, rock, blues and soul.

Marini attended the University of North Texas College of Music. He played with Blood, Sweat & Tears from 1972 to 1974 and was a member of the Saturday Night Live house band from 1975 to 1983. He joined the Blues Brothers band and appeared in the 1980 film *The Blues Brothers* and its 1998 sequel *Blues Brothers 2000*, both times credited as 'Blue Lou' Marini.
