## Biography

Louis Venosta is a writer and director. A native New Yorker, he began his career in theatre and dance, performing with companies including the Joffrey Ballet and appearing as a principal dancer in the film *Fame* (1980). He is an alumnus of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater Playwrights Unit.

Venosta has written screenplays for major studios, including *The Last Dragon* (1985) and *Bird on a Wire* (1990). His directorial debut, the short film *The Coriolis Effect* (1994), premiered at Sundance and won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival. He made his television directing debut on *Grey's Anatomy* in 2017. He serves as Co-Chair of the DGA Eastern Diversity Steering Committee and divides his time between New York City and Jalisco, Mexico.
