## Biography

Louise Friedberg is a Danish director. Born in Copenhagen in 1973, she graduated in direction from the National Film School of Denmark in 2005. She had previously worked as a script supervisor and assistant director on Danish films from the mid-1990s.

Friedberg directed multiple episodes of the series *Borgen* (2011–2013) and served as second unit director on the production. Her feature debut was the 2010 drama *The Experiment*, which she also wrote. She has directed episodes of Danish series including *Norskov* (2015) and *Arvingerne* (2014), as well as international productions such as *House of Cards* (2013) and *Y: The Last Man* (2021).

Her short film *Blood Sisters* (2006) was selected for the Berlin International Film Festival's Generation programme and won awards at festivals including Rome, Sydney and Melbourne.
