## Biography

Louise Wakefield is an Australian costume designer working in film and television. Originally from Adelaide, she studied drama as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree and trained in costume cutting and construction.

She is credited as costume designer on the feature films *Shine* (1996) and *Doing Time for Patsy Cline* (1997), for which she won the 1997 AFI Award for Best Costume Design. Other credits include assistant costume designer on *Babe* (1995) and design work on *Walk the Talk* (2000) and the television series *Underbelly* (2008–2013). She has also taught costume design at AFTRS and TAFE.
