## Biography

Lucy Alibar is an American screenwriter and playwright. She was born Lucy Harrison in Florida in 1983 and studied in the experimental theatre programme at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Alibar wrote the play *Juicy and Delicious*, which she adapted with director Benh Zeitlin into the screenplay for the 2012 film *Beasts of the Southern Wild*. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. Her other screenwriting credits include *Troop Zero* (2019) and *Where the Crawdads Sing* (2022).
