## Biography

Lucy Prebble is a British playwright and screenwriter. She was born in Haslemere, Surrey, in 1980 and studied English at the University of Sheffield.

Her plays include *The Sugar Syndrome* (2003), which won the George Devine Award; *ENRON* (2010); *The Effect* (2012), winner of the Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Best New Play; and *A Very Expensive Poison* (2019).

For television she created *Secret Diary of a Call Girl* (2007–2011) and co-created *I Hate Suzie* (2020–2022) with Billie Piper. She served as a writer and executive producer on the HBO series *Succession* (2018–2023).
