## Biography

Ludovic Peters was a British screenwriter and novelist. Born on 16 July 1931 in Beuthen, Silesia, Prussia, Germany, he moved to the United Kingdom at an early age. He also wrote under the pseudonym Peter Brent.

He contributed scripts to several British television series, including one episode of *The Avengers* in 1964, five episodes of *Crane* (1963–1965), and single episodes of *The Man in Room 17* (1965), *Orlando* (1965), *Champion House* (1968), *Mogul* (1969), *Detective* (1969) and *Dixon of Dock Green* (1972).

Peters published eleven novels between 1961 and 1970, mainly mysteries and thrillers. Several formed the Ian Firth detective series; one political thriller, *Riot '71* (1967), is set in a near-future Britain facing economic and social crisis. He died in London in 1984.
