## Biography

Luis David Sansans is a cinematographer. Born in Madrid, he is based in Mexico City and began his career as an assistant cameraman on films including *Y tu mamá también* (2001) and *Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World* (2003). He later worked as a camera operator and Steadicam operator on titles such as *Man on Fire* (2004), *Resident Evil: Extinction* (2007) and *Spectre* (2015).

As director of photography, Sansans has credits including *Days of Grace* (2011), *Escobar: Paradise Lost* (2014), *Captive* (2015), *The Belko Experiment* (2016) and *The Forever Purge* (2021). He served as cinematographer on seasons of the Netflix series *Narcos* (2015–) and *Narcos: Mexico* (2018–). He is a member of the Mexican Society of Cinematographers (AMC) and has received two awards.
