## Biography

Lutz Reitemeier is a German cinematographer born in 1963 in Stuttgart. After film school he completed a copy lab internship and worked for several years as a camera assistant on feature and documentary films, collaborating with directors including Werner Herzog and Roland Emmerich.

Since 1994 he has worked as a director of photography on features and documentaries in Germany and internationally. His credits include *Tuya's Marriage* (2006), which won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, *White Deer Plain* (2011), for which he received a Silver Bear, and *Wadjda* (2012). He is a member of the Deutsche Filmakademie and the Berufsverband Kinematografie (BVK), and has lectured at film schools.
