Machiko Washio is a Japanese actress and voice actress. Born on 2 June 1949 in Kanagawa Prefecture, she began her career in 1966 and has worked in both live-action theatre, film and television, and anime voice roles.

She is best known for voicing Sakura in the television series *Urusei Yatsura* (1981–1986) and its films, including *Urusei Yatsura: Only You* (1983) and *Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer* (1984). Other notable voice roles include Okami in *Castle in the Sky* (1986) and the Teacher in *My Neighbor Totoro* (1988).

Washio has appeared in live-action films such as *The Red Spectacles* (1987) as Midori Washio and *Adrift in Tokyo* (2007). She was previously married to actor Shu Nakajima.
