Macy Gray is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Born Natalie Renée McIntyre on 6 September 1967 in Canton, Ohio, she studied film at the University of Southern California and took acting classes at UCLA before pursuing a music career.

She made her feature film debut as Sandman's Wife in *Training Day* (2001). Subsequent acting roles include appearances as herself in *Spider-Man* (2002) and *Scary Movie 3* (2003), Lashandra Davis in *Domino* (2005), Anita in *The Paperboy* (2012), and a guest role in the series *Fuller House* (2016). Gray has also provided voice work and appeared in other films and television projects.
