Maggie Dence is an Australian actress and comedienne. She made her stage debut at the age of sixteen and has worked in theatre, film and television since 1959.

Her early television work includes a prominent role in the satirical sketch series *The Mavis Bramston Show*. She is also known for playing Rose Sullivan in *The Sullivans* (1976–1978), Merle Bullpitt in *Kingswood Country* (1980–1984), Bev Baker in *Prisoner* (1984) and Dorothy Burke in *Neighbours* (1990s).

Dence's film credits include the receptionist in *Wake in Fright* (1971), Meredith Butcher in *Danny Deckchair* (2003), Lady Quiller Couch in *Peter Pan* (2003), Joan in *Look Both Ways* (2005), Nan in *Heartbreak High* (2022) and Boo in *The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart* (2023). She received the Equity Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011 and was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2022.
