## Biography

Magne-Håvard Brekke is a Norwegian actor, also credited as Magne Brekke or Magne Håvard Brekke. Born on 1 January 1962, he trained at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin. From 1989 to 1995 he was a member of the Volksbühne ensemble in Berlin, appearing in productions directed by Frank Castorf, Christoph Marthaler and Andreas Kriegenburg. He later held a position at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and has maintained a long collaboration with director Dimiter Gotscheff and ongoing work with Christoph Marthaler.

Brekke has appeared in numerous international films and television series. His credits include *Father of My Children* (2009) as Stig Janson, *Goodbye First Love* (2011) as Lorenz, *Sister* (2012), *1001 Grams* (2014), *The Prayer* (2018) as Olivier, *Overdrive* (2017) as Kuhn and *Lovers* (2021) as Gérant club. He plays Eduard Limonov in *The Wizard of the Kremlin* (2025). On television he has portrayed Andreas Schnabel in *The Bureau* (2016–2020).
