## Biography

Malcolm Hulke was a British television writer. He contributed scripts to *The Avengers* (1961) in the 1960s and wrote multiple episodes of *Doctor Who* (1963) between 1967 and 1974, including *The Faceless Ones*, *The War Games* (co-written with Terrance Dicks), *Doctor Who and the Silurians*, *The Sea Devils* and *Invasion of the Dinosaurs*.

Hulke also wrote for other series such as *Danger Man* and *Crossroads*, and co-wrote early science-fiction serials including the *Pathfinders* series. He authored the screenwriting manual *Writing for Television in the 70s* (1974) and novelised several of his *Doctor Who* stories for Target Books. He collaborated frequently with Terrance Dicks on scripts and the 1972 book *The Making of Doctor Who*.
