## Biography

Malcolm Thornton is a British production designer whose credits include the 1998 BBC mini-series *Vanity Fair*. He has worked extensively in British television and film, with production design credits on *Enchanted April* (1991), *Cold Comfort Farm* (1995), *Our Mutual Friend* (1998), *Tipping the Velvet* (2002) and *Fingersmith* (2005).

Thornton served as production designer on the long-running series *Law & Order: UK* (2009–2011) and *Stan Lee's Lucky Man* (2016). He won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for production design on *Our Mutual Friend* and received further nominations for *Cold Comfort Farm* and *Othello* (2001). His earlier work includes several 1980s episodes of *Doctor Who*.
