## Biography

Malik Hassan Sayeed is an American cinematographer. Born in New York City in 1969, he graduated from Howard University in 1990 with a degree in film studies.

He worked as an electrician on Spike Lee productions before serving as director of photography on *Clockers* (1995), *Girl 6* (1996) and *He Got Game* (1998). He was also the cinematographer on Hype Williams' *Belly* (1998) and second unit director of photography on Stanley Kubrick's *Eyes Wide Shut* (1999). After a period focused on music videos and commercials, including work on Beyoncé's *Lemonade* (2016) and *Black Is King* (2020), he returned to feature films as director of photography on Luca Guadagnino's *After the Hunt* (2025).
