## Biography

Mandy Walker is an Australian cinematographer. She apprenticed as a camera assistant on documentaries and features before shooting her first feature, *Return Home* (1990).

Walker is known for her work on *Hidden Figures* (2016), *Mulan* (2020) and *Elvis* (2022), the last of which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography. She has collaborated repeatedly with director Baz Luhrmann, including on *Australia* (2008).

In 2021 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia. In 2025 she became the first woman elected president of the American Society of Cinematographers.
