## Biography

Marc Evans is a Welsh film and television director. Born in Cardiff in 1963, he studied history of art at the University of Cambridge and completed a film course at the University of Bristol.

His feature films include *House of America* (1997), *Resurrection Man* (1998), *My Little Eye* (2002), *Snow Cake* (2006), *Hunky Dory* (2011) and *Mr. Burton* (2025). He has also directed television series such as *Hinterland* (2013), *Manhunt* (2019), *The Pembrokeshire Murders* (2021) and *Steeltown Murders* (2023).

Evans has received BAFTA Cymru awards for directing *Manhunt* and *Hinterland*, and was nominated for a BAFTA Film Award for Outstanding British Film for *Mr. Burton*.
