## Biography

Marc Pye is a British television writer. He grew up in Liverpool and moved to Scotland in his late teens; he now lives in Glasgow.

He has written for numerous series including *EastEnders*, *Holby City*, *The Bill*, *Waterloo Road*, *The Royal*, *Holby Blue*, *Echo Beach*, *River City*, *High Road* and *Fair City*. He is best known for his work with Jimmy McGovern, writing the episode 'The Flasher' for series one of *The Street* (2006). He later contributed to McGovern's *Moving On*.

Pye has written the novels *Lollipop* and *Rewire*. His short films *Baldy McBain*, *Last Legs* and *Instant Credit* premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. He co-wrote the feature film *Act of Grace* (2008).
