Marc Reid Rubel is a writer and producer. He wrote the screenplay for the 1980 musical film *Xanadu*, in collaboration with Richard Christian Danus.

His other credits as writer include the 1988 comedy *Big Business* and episodes of the television series *Profiler* (2000). He has also worked as a producer on several television films, including *Prince of Bel Air* (1986).

Rubel received a nomination for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Screenplay for *Xanadu*.
