## Biography

Marcel Lucien (1902–1958) was a French cinematographer. He began working as a director of photography in the mid-1920s and contributed to around forty films over the following decades.

Lucien collaborated with Jean Renoir on several productions between 1928 and 1932, including *Boudu Saved from Drowning* (1932), where he served as lighting cameraman. He later worked frequently with Christian-Jaque in the late 1930s. Among his other notable credits is *The Story of a Cheat* (1936).
