## Biography

Marcelo Camorino is an Argentine cinematographer. Born on 17 September 1953 in Santa Fe, he began his career in the camera and electrical departments and trained under Félix “Chango” Monti. His first credit as director of photography came in 1983 on a film by Eduardo Mignogna.

Camorino is best known for his work on *Nine Queens* (2000), for which he received the ADF Prize for Best Cinematography and the Cóndor de Plata. Other notable credits include *Autumn Sun* (1996), *La fuga* (2001), *El viento* (2005) and *La señal* (2007). He has also worked on international productions such as *Del amor y otros demonios* (2009).

In 2011 Camorino received the Konex Award for Cinematography. He is a member of the Asociación de Autores de Fotografía Cinematográfica de Argentina and the Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de la Argentina, and has taught at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires and the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in Cuba.
