## Biography

Marco Ramirez is an American television writer, producer and playwright. He began his television career as a staff writer on the third season of the FX series *Sons of Anarchy* (2010–2011). His other writing credits include episodes of *Orange Is the New Black*, *Da Vinci's Demons* (where he also served as producer on the first two seasons), *Fear the Walking Dead*, *Marvel's Daredevil* and *The Defenders*.

Ramirez co-created the 2019 revival of *The Twilight Zone* with Simon Kinberg and Jordan Peele. He later served as showrunner on *La Máquina* (2024) and was announced in 2025 as showrunner for the series *Delphi*. In theatre, his play *The Royale* premiered Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater in 2016 and received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards. He wrote the book for the Broadway musical *Buena Vista Social Club*, which opened in 2025 and earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Book of a Musical.

A Miami native and graduate of New York University, Ramirez studied playwriting as a fellow at the Juilliard School.
