## Biography

Marcus Wilson is a British television producer born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He entered the industry as a runner after completing a degree in drama, film, television and English literature at University College of Ripon & York St John, and advanced through roles as assistant director and location manager.

Wilson served as producer and series producer on *Doctor Who* (2011–2013), including the 50th anniversary special *Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor* (2013) and *Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor* (2013). He has also produced episodes of *Luther* (2010–2019), *Life on Mars* (2006) and *Vigil* (2021), and acted as executive producer on *The Worst Witch* (2017) and further series of *Luther* and *The A Word* (2016–2020).

His credits include earlier work as line producer and co-producer on *Life on Mars*, and producer on *Whitechapel* (2009). He has received BAFTA Cymru and Primetime Emmy nominations.
