## Biography

Maren Louise Käehne is a Danish screenwriter. She was born in Svendborg and graduated as a screenwriter from the National Film School of Denmark in 2009.

She wrote episodes for the series *Borgen* (2013) and *The Bridge* (2013). Her feature film credits include the screenplay for *Long Story Short* (2015), which won a Bodil Award for best screenplay, *Shelley* (2016), *Queen of Hearts* (2019) and co-writing *A Perfectly Normal Family* (2020). She also contributed to the series *Blackwater* (2023).

Käehne has received awards including the Bodil, Robert and Nordisk Råd film prizes, often in collaboration with director May el-Toukhy.
