Margaret Nagle is an American screenwriter, television producer and former actress. She began her career with acting roles in series including *Family Ties* (1982), *L.A. Law* (1986), *My So-Called Life* (1994) and *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air* (1990), and films such as *Milk Money* (1994) and *Forget Paris* (1995).

Nagle transitioned to writing and producing. Her script for the HBO television film *Warm Springs* (2005) earned five Emmy Awards, including for Outstanding Television Movie. She wrote two episodes of the first season of *Boardwalk Empire* (2010) and served as supervising producer; the season won a Golden Globe. Her other credits include the screenplay for *The Good Lie* (2014) and creating the series *Red Band Society* (2014).

Nagle has received three Emmy nominations and three Writers Guild of America Awards, including for her work on *Boardwalk Empire* and *Warm Springs*.
