## Biography

Mari Aldon, also credited as Marija Aldona Pauliutė, was a Lithuanian-born American actress. She made her screen debut in a minor uncredited role in *The Locket* (1946) and appeared in supporting parts in films including *Distant Drums* (1951) as Judy Beckett and *The Barefoot Contessa* (1954) as Myrna.

She had further roles in *Summertime* (1955) as Phyl Yaeger and several other features before moving primarily to television work. Aldon trained as a ballet dancer and performed on stage and radio before entering films. She was married to director Tay Garnett from 1953 until his death in 1977.
