Maria Dizzia is an American actress. She was born on 29 December 1974 in New Jersey and raised in Cranford. She graduated from Cornell University and received an MFA from the University of California, San Diego.

Dizzia received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play in 2010 for her performance in *In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play)*. Her film credits include *Martha Marcy May Marlene* (2011) as Katie, *Margin Call* (2011) and *Captain Phillips* (2013).
