Maria Dragus is a Romanian-German actress born in 1994 in Dresden. She trained in dance at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden and began acting as a child, appearing in early television roles such as in the series *Ein Engel für alle* (2007).

She gained international attention for her role as Klara in Michael Haneke’s *The White Ribbon* (2009), for which she received the German Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. Subsequent film credits include *If Not Us, Who?* (2011), *Kill Me* (2012), *Graduation* (2016) as Eliza, *Mademoiselle Paradis* (2017), *Mary Queen of Scots* (2018) as Mary Fleming, and *R.M.N.* (2022).

In 2014 she was selected as one of the European Shooting Stars at the Berlin International Film Festival. She has also appeared in television series including *Tatort* and *Alarm for Cobra 11 – The Highway Police*.
