## Biography

Maria Duffek is a Polish production designer, set decorator and costume designer. Born on 7 April 1961 in Wrocław, she graduated in art history from Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She has worked extensively in Polish film and television, often credited as Maria Duffek-Bartoszewska on later projects.

Duffek served as production designer on *Loving Vincent* (2017), handling the live-action sequences filmed with actors in Wrocław. She also worked as production designer on *Zwerbowana miłość* (2010) and over 100 episodes of the television series *Fala zbrodni* (2003–2008). Her costume design credits include *Hiena* (2006), *Republika dzieci* (2021) and *Wariaci* (2023).

In 2018 she received the Polish Film Award (Orzeł) for production design on *Loving Vincent*. She is a member of the Polish Filmmakers Association.
