Maria McErlane is a British actress and presenter specialising in comedy. Born on 9 December 1957 in Buckinghamshire, England, she began acting in 1984 and started on the stand-up comedy circuit in the 1990s under the name Maria Callous.

She is known for appearances in the sketch series *The Fast Show* (1994) as various characters, as well as roles in *Gimme Gimme Gimme* (1999), *Happiness* (2001–2003), *Thin Ice* (2006), *The Bill* (2002) and *Holby City* (2004). She provided the narration for *Eurotrash* and has collaborated frequently with Graham Norton, co-presenting *Carnal Knowledge* (1990s) and the 'Grill Graham' feature on his radio show.
