Maria Paiato is an Italian actress. She was born on 8 May 1961 in Stienta, Veneto, and trained at the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio d’Amico in Rome, graduating in 1984.

She is primarily known for her work in theatre, including monologues and productions directed by figures such as Luca Ronconi. Her film roles include Ida Marangon in *I Am Love* (2009), Virginia Ferrara in *The Invisible Witness* (2018) and Signora Lia in *In This World of Thieves* (2004). On television she has appeared in series including *Vita da Carlo* (2021) as Annamaria and *Father Matteo* (2000) as Gabriella Valle.

Paiato has received several theatre awards, among them the Premio Flaiano and two Premi Ubu.
