## Biography

Marie France is a costume designer. A graduate of fine arts from a Beaux Arts School and of liberal arts from the Sorbonne in Paris, she began her career in the United States collaborating with Prince. She designed costumes for his 1984 film *Purple Rain* and 1986 film *Under the Cherry Moon*, as well as several of his music videos.

She subsequently worked on numerous feature films, including *Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey* (1991), *Encino Man* (1992), *Buffy the Vampire Slayer* (1992), *Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot* (1992), *The Borrowers* (1997), *Black Knight* (2001) and *Garfield* (2004), several of them directed by Peter Hewitt. She has also designed for music videos by artists including Natalie Cole, Tina Turner and Rod Stewart.
