## Biography

Marie-Josèphe Yoyotte was a French film and television editor. She edited François Truffaut’s *The 400 Blows* (1959) and worked on numerous other features from the late 1950s onwards, including *War of the Buttons* (1962), *Diva* (1981), *The Party* (1980) and *The Party 2* (1982).

Yoyotte received three César Awards for Best Editing: for *Police Python 357* (1977), *Microcosmos* (1996, shared with Florence Ricard) and *Winged Migration* (2001). She also appeared as an actress in a small number of films, including Jean Cocteau’s *Testament of Orpheus* (1960). She was born on 5 November 1929 in Saint-Fons, France, and died on 17 July 2017.
