## Biography

Marie-Laure de Noailles (née Bischoffsheim) was a French patron of the arts and film producer. Born in Paris on 31 October 1902, she married Charles, Vicomte de Noailles in 1923. Together they supported numerous avant-garde artists and filmmakers through commissions and financing.

She is credited as producer, alongside her husband, on Luis Buñuel’s *L'Âge d'or* (1930). The couple also financed other films including Man Ray’s *Les Mystères du château de Dé* (1928) and Jean Cocteau’s *The Blood of a Poet* (1930). Their patronage extended to composers, writers and visual artists of the period. She died in Paris on 29 January 1970.
