## Biography

Marilyn Nash was an American actress and casting director. She played The Girl in Charlie Chaplin’s *Monsieur Verdoux* (1947). While a student at the University of Arizona intending to study medicine, she met Chaplin in Los Angeles and was signed to a contract for the film.

Her only other screen acting credit was as Dr. Joan Lindsey in the science-fiction film *Unknown World* (1951). She also appeared in episodes of the television series *Hopalong Cassidy* (1952) and *Medic* (1955), and worked in stage roles. Later, based in Oroville, California, she served as a location casting director on films including *The Klansman* (1974), *The Outlaw Josey Wales* (1976) and *The Great Smokey Roadblock* (1977). Nash died on 6 October 2011.
