## Biography

Marilyn Vance is an American costume designer and film producer. She began her career in television in the early 1980s before moving into feature films, working on titles including *Fast Times at Ridgemont High* (1982), *The Breakfast Club* (1985), *Ferris Bueller's Day Off* (1986), *The Untouchables* (1987), *Die Hard* (1988) and *Pretty Woman* (1990).

Vance received an Academy Award nomination and two BAFTA nominations for costume design. She won a Saturn Award for *The Rocketeer* (1991) and was awarded the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2009. She has also worked as a producer on films such as *Timecop* (1994) and *The Getaway* (1994), and is a co-founder of Vance Entertainment with her son Gregg Vance.
