## Biography

Mario Pisu (21 May 1910 – 17 July 1976) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Born in Montecchio Emilia, he began his career on stage and in film in 1935 with a debut in *The Joker King*. He appeared in around ninety films up to 1976, often in supporting roles, and also worked in television and as a dubber for actors including Gregory Peck and John Wayne.

Pisu is known for appearances in Federico Fellini films including *8½* (1963) as Mario Mezzabotta and *Juliet of the Spirits* (1965) as Giorgio, Giulietta's husband. Other credits include *The Organizer* (1963), *The Gendarme in New York* (1965) and *The Sensuous Nurse* (1975). He was the brother of actor Raffaele Pisu and was married to Lilli Trucchi.
